Video Active
Video Active was a loose collective utilizing direct action production methods that joined the many alternative and oppositional media groups and independent journalists who participated in the Indy Media coverage of the 1999 protests against the WTO in Seattle, Washington. They contributed to the series Showdown in Seattle: Five Days that Shook the World (1999), produced by Deep Dish Television and broadcast in daily thirty-minute segments. Video Active was one of seven independent media groups involved in the editing suite for the Independent Media Center that formed during the Seattle anti-WTO protests.
