Whispered Media
Founded in 1996 by A. Mark Liiv, Jeffrey Taylor, and Adams Wood with Francine Cavanaugh joining in 2000, Whispered Media is a collective that uses video production and media resources to document social and political issues. It is part of a growing movement of grassroots documentary makers who are using increasingly accessible media tools to create compelling, independent work. Their work has been featured on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, and MediaTelevision in Canada. In April 2002, Adams Wood and Francine Cavanaugh left Whispered Media for Western North Carolina and a new project called Mountain Eye Media. With several new members, Jeff Taylor and A. Mark Liiv continue to work as Whispered Media.
