In Motion: Amiri Baraka profiles the visionary poet and political activist. St. Clair Bourne’s film, scripted by Lou Potter, allows us into the day-to-day life of a cultural worker as we visit with Baraka and his family in Newark, NJ. The film portrait also shows us how the artist uses poetry as a tool in the struggles around issues of race, class, and for fundamental societal change.
