Coltrane Programming on WPEB!
For the 2026 North Philadelphia History Festival, Scribe is seeking broadcasters who are interested in producing programming on WPEB this September celebrating John Coltrane, jazz music history, and spirituality in North Philadelphia.
Proposals should consist of (3) hours of programming, which we hope will largely be composed of music. We are asking broadcasters to include a detailed run-of-show in their proposal, specifying the musical elements (recordings, performers, compositions, date of recording) of their proposal and what the non-musical audio elements will be (who is speaking, subject, where it will be recorded). Broadcasters must have access to the recordings specified in their run-of-shows. Programs may be pre-recorded, field-recorded, or broadcast live from the studio. Scribe will select up to (12) programs and selected broadcasters/programmers will receive an honorarium. If needed, a small budget to assist with pre-recording and field production may be allocated. Broadcasters are allowed to submit multiple applications. Interested? Please fill out this form by July 24th, 2026!
