The Documentaries & the Law Program at the University of Pennsylvania Law School promotes visual forms of legal advocacy in order to foster a dialogue about the role of law in a just and democratic society. Scribe presents three films created through the program: Nowhere to Run: Giving Philly’s Urban Youth a Place to Play (2014, 21 min) on disparities in recreational opportunities among urban youth; Food for Thought (2013, 20 min) on wage theft against restaurant workers; and A Dignified Death: Compassionate Release in Pennsylvania (2016, 30 min) on the impact of incarceration at the end of life.
