Rodney Evans

Rodney Evans has been making award-winning films and videos for over twenty years. He is the writer/director/producer of the feature film Brother To Brother, which won the Special Jury Prize in Drama at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. This workshop will include a screening of excerpts from his 2013 narrative feature, The Happy Sad, which has screened at over thirty film festivals world-wide and a discussion about incorporating improvisation into feature narratives. The workshop will explore the director/actor collaboration as it relates to micro-budget feature filmmaking. Rodney Evans has taught at NYU’s Tisch School, Temple, Cooper Union, and Bryn Mawr College.
