Arthur Jafa is a filmmaker, visual artist and cultural theorist best known for his cinematographic work on films such as Spike Lee's Crooklyn and Julie Dash's Daughters of the Dust. Jafa will discuss the ways that light and sound, frame rates and sensor resolution can create a uniquely Black form of expression in film.
