Making the perfect film trailer is no small feat — accomplishing this task will take planning, persistence, and a set of skills that’s slightly different from what’s needed to make a feature-length film. Work with an award-winning editor to design and create your trailer for fundraising and festivals!

Ann Tegnell is an Academy Award and Emmy nominated producer-director and editor working extensively in television, at post-houses and as valued collaborator on indie docs. Molding structure, dynamic, rhythm and flow, along with an intuitive ‘feeling’ for the material, is what drives her craftsmanship. Ann will complete post this spring on the Hollywood Beauty Salon, which focuses on a tiny Germantown beauty parlor where men and women undergoing treatment for mental illness gather to have their hair done, share stories, and support each other as they rebuild their lives. In a theater-near-you this year is The Barefoot Artist, juxtaposing artist Lily Yeh’s work mending broken and weakened spirits in communities around the world with her personal journey to repair her own fractured family. Ann is a Sundance Fellow with the ITVS funded Niños de la Memoria, chronicling three survivors who search for family, identity and justice in post civil war El Salvador. Prior to that, and co-mingled with countless commercial projects, was the editorial of Independent Lens doc Mirror Dance, Emmy nominated KNEE DEEP, CINE Golden Eagle winner Ballycastle and Academy Award nominated Family Gathering, broadcast on The American Experience. Her work has screened at major film festivals, museums and cultural institutions in the US and abroad.
