Explore the African heritage of Louisiana in this documentary. Dr. Lindsay Gary takes the audience on a journey through the vibrant history and culture of the peoples who would become known as Louisiana Creoles. It explores the culture through language, spirituality, food, music, and dance as an example of African cultural continuity.

Decoupling (excerpt) (2022, China, USA, 19 min) By Yinan Wang

A “Chinese” father’s reflection on the changing relationship of China and US during his trip to Beijing to retrieve his 3-year-old “American” daughter who has been stranded for the recent “decoupling” of the two countries. Born in China and living in the United States, the filmmaker attempts to reflect on his own experience of how an immigrant family deals with the distress caused by identity, nationalism, and geopolitics.
