New Works Produced Through Scribe’s 14-Week Workshop
The 14-Week Workshop covers all aspects of film and video production and supports participants in the completion of short projects. Many of this year’s participants are also members of Scribe’s Film Scholars. Land Where I Rize by Da Saint
Land Where I Rize is one of three parts in the Poetic Documentary Land of Reconciliation, where artist and filmmaker, Da Saint, explores their lived experience as an Afro-Caribbean American. A first-generation child born to Hatian immigrants—in this film, Da Saint poetically reflects on language, culture and tradition; what is lost, found and what is preserved for the sake of self-preservation.
