Film Summary:

Reconstruction Inc. is a program of rehabilitation for parolees and their families which helps former inmates to reestablish themselves in the community by overcoming cycles of violent behavior and understanding their own motivations and needs. The video includes interviews with former inmates, Reconstruction participants and activists, as well as Reconstruction founder and executive director William Goldsby, who outlines the four-year process of re-integration. As prison rights activist Father Paul Washington succinctly states, the greatest tragedy that could befall a human being is that one sees no reason to even hope. I feel there must always be hope. That’s why I will not give up for a second-time offender, or a third, or fourth.
