Sound in the Field/Recording and Mixing

JT Takagi is a NY based filmmaker and a sound recordist on documentaries, with credits on numerous PBS films including the Oscar-nominated and Emmy winning Strong Island. Takagi also directs Third World Newsreel, a progressive media center in NYC that supports media by and about people of color and social justice.

Join JT Takagi for a workshop on approaches to audio recording and sound equipment for documentary media production, including working with double system DSLR cameras and new gear options with low cost mixer/recorders and radio mics. Workshop participants are invited to discuss planned projects.
