Philly born-n-bred, world renowned poet, recording artist, and revolutionary, Ursula Rucker will guide participants through the process of writing and performing poetry for the camera. Participants will be invited to write/share…honestly, openly, candidly and creatively. Ursula hopes to create a culture of care wherein ALL participants can engage in word/emotion/idea/story culling/exercise/moments/sharings… to find and share OUR rhythmic poetic voices. Through merging music and sound with word and story, participants will be talking about “skill”, or how to maintain a natural flow and delivery while performing and being filmed, with ot without an audience. Participants will leave the workshop with an edited recorded performance, all levels of experience are welcome.
