We are pleased to welcome film programmer and archivist June Givanni to talk about her approach to film curation. Though based in London, for over forty years Givanni has curated African and African diasporic cinema across the globe. She has played key curatorial roles at Fespaco, Rotterdam, Images Caribe, Toronto, Cape Town, and at the British Film Institute, among many other cultural institutions. Over the course of an extraordinary career, she has also developed the June Givanni Pan African Cinema Archive, which has become an important resource for filmmakers and scholars. Givanni will talk about her curatorial methodology and what it means to curate with a Pan African lens.
