Film Summary:

Awaken to Activism examines the evolution of activism in the Philadelphia Public School District through issues and methods. Through interviews with activists who participated in the 1967 student strike, and current day members of the Philadelphia Student Union, connections are made between the two time periods and ongoing struggles for reform.
