Master Class with Natalia Almada: The Role of Subjectivity in Documentary

Tuesday, March 15 TIME: 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Cost:
$20, $10 for Scribe members

Natalia Almada’s films reveal new perspectives on Mexican history, politics, and culture, pushing the boundaries of how the documentary form addresses social issues. She combines powerful visual images with the observations of ordinary people she encounters with her camera. The result is an intimate, multilayered form of storytelling. She will show excerpts of her films to discuss how her relationship with her subjects informs her storytelling.
