Learn basic editing with Apple's Final Cut Pro, an exciting and powerful non-linear editing program that combines professional capability with consumer-level accessibility. This course builds a strong foundation that gets you started with logging, capturing, editing, transitions and much more. Basic computer knowledge is required. In addition to the workshop meetings, individual edit time is required.

INSTRUCTORS:
Section I: Editor and videographer Aaron Schumann is an alumnus of Drexel University’s film and video production program. He has worked as an editor on commercial and independent projects and as a videographer on location in China, India and Thailand. Adept at creating content for the internet, he recently received the Webby People’s Voice Award for Best Online Travel Video. He has also worked as a computer science instructor in Tanzania, with an international volunteer organization called Cross-Cultural Solutions.

Section II: Ryan Saunders produces documentaries, multimedia and web projects. He is the Senior Media Developer for Temple University Computer Services. His films include Bacchanal Time, a documentary on the Caribbean-styled carnivals in North America and Mother Dot's Philadelphia, about the Philadelphia jazz scene, produced in collaboration with Malkia Lydia.
