Using computers to edit sound! After you’ve done your interviews and made your recordings, learn how to cut them down to size and fit them together into one seamless piece of audio. This workshop will be a hands-on tutorial on using Audacity, a free, open source audio editing program.

INSTRUCTOR: Jeff Towne is an audio engineer and producer for the radio program Echoes, a music soundscape broadcast nationally on over 150 public radio stations and the Internet. He writes instructional columns about all aspects of audio production as Tools Editor for Transom.org, a Peabody award-winning website dedicated to channeling new work and voices to public radio.
