Introduction to Adobe After Effects

Learn the basics of how to incorporate a stylized title, motion effect or animated sequence in your video. Adobe AfterEffects is a sophisticated, creative program for motion graphics, animation and other special effects. In this hands-on workshop learn how to integrate these effects with live video using Final Cut Pro. Participants should be Mac-comfortable and worked with Final Cut Pro or other editing programs. Feel free to come prepared to work on an idea for a ten-second piece by bringing a still image, a piece of music and/or a QuickTime movie. Participants may arrange to have their pieces digitized or scanned prior to the start of class.

INSTRUCTOR: Valerie Keller is a two-time Emmy-nominated professional video editor, and a co-producer of the popular how-to tv and web series BiG TeA PaRtY. She created over 60 HD experimental videos as part of the Mobius Media Project, including Discarded which showed in the exhibit "Out Of Frame: Motion Art" at the Philadelphia Art Alliance, and her experimental short Stepping On Upworld aired on WYBE TV-35 and was screened at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
