Fusing Multimedia and Performance
This master class is geared for artists who want to incorporate multimedia (music, digital video, animation) into their performances or installations. Participants will create a short multimedia piece using the custom visual software developed by Sharif Ezzat, using images of their choice. Basic computer knowledge is required and experience with Photoshop is highly recommended.
Egyptian-American multimedia artist Sharif Ezzat has toured extensively with beat box artist Yuri Lane providing shifting visual projections timed to Lane's hypnotic beats in his theatrical and musical performances. In 1998 he helped found goodfood productions, through which he works in a wide variety of digital media, from web sites and DVDs to interactive kiosks and installations.
