Cost:
$60 for 6 Months - SOLD OUT
Instructor:
David Felix Sutcliffe

In this workshop, a select group of participants will gather for monthly meetings to discuss strategies for luring "the beast" out of their own docs-in-progress. Guided by filmmaker David Felix Sutcliffe (Adama - PBS 2011, (T)ERROR - PBS/BBC 2016), participants will work together to identify the central story of their films, and collectively brainstorm ways to bring that story onto the screen.

Group members can be at any stage of a medium-length/feature documentary, from pre-production to post. 6-month commitment is requested, though not mandatory.

David Felix Sutcliffe is an independent documentary filmmaker. His first film, Adama, was broadcast on PBS in 2011, and featured the story of a 16-year-old Muslim girl growing up in Harlem who was arrested by the FBI on suspicion of being a “potential suicide bomber.” His second film (T)ERROR is the first film to document, in real-time, an active counterterrorism sting operation. (T)ERROR premiered at 2015 Sundance Film Festival where it won a Special Jury Prize, as well as the Grand Jury Prize at the 2015 Full Frame Film Festival.
