Producers' Forums

Scribe Producers' Forums bring nationally and internationally acclaimed independent media artists to Philadelphia to present and discuss with audiences their new work which reflects current issues, concerns and trends in community. Through the series our audiences have seen works such as Beah, a Black Woman Speaks, Lisa Gay Hamilton's biography of actress Beah Richards; Stephanie Black's Life and Debt, about the struggle of the Jamaican people for existence and independence; Refugee, Spencer Nakasako's powerful examination of life on San Francisco's streets for three young Cambodian-American men; and Shola Lynch's Chisholm '72: Unbought and Unbossed.
